SPECIAL PROJECT BIKE:
O.C.C. PATRIOT CHOPPER:
The "Patriot Chopper," is the first of three bikes built by Orange County Choppers for the National Guard. The Teutuls have a history of building patriotic bikes, and they have produced multiple theme bikes for several branches of the military. The finished bike showcases a Tailgunner Exhaust, Rotary Cannon "FIGHTER" model that has spinning barrels, the blade spokes of the wheels feature 3-D inlaid spearheads, representing the seven Army values and an ammunition belt lines the handlebars. Chromed M-4 magazines serve as the struts, and an M-4 carbine is mounted on the side of the rear wheel. The "Patriot Chopper" is the first of three bikes commissioned by the Army National Guard. The purpose is two-fold. First, the bikes are intended to be a recruiting tool. Second, the bikes can also convey important messages about safety. Army Guard recruiters will display them at rallies across the country to entice potential Soldiers to talk with them. "They're very willing to help us out in terms of safety awareness and wearing the proper gear for our Soldiers," said Maj. Gen. Nuttall. "The bike is one part of it - the build. But the safety is really what we're trying to get after."

SPECIAL PROJECT BIKE:
Hell's Tailgunner
Street-fighters are one of the hottest new segments of the
motorcycle industry. They are considered by many to be the new outlaw
motorcycles. To create the “Hell's Tailgunner” special project bike, two of
America’s leading streetfighter builders joined forces, Jim "Hawks" Haucke of Angry Guy Streetfighters and
Dave Begotka of Motocyco.

Mr. Haucke is responsible for the original concept and says
that the Tailgunner™ Exhaust was the driving motivation behind the
bike. “When I saw the new Tailgunners, the bike just screamed to be
built. Basically, we wanted to build a bike around the exhaust. And our
new tail section just begged for it. Streetfighters are about new,
aggressive styling and functionality and the machine gun look is just
perfect.”

Dave
Begotka was the chief fabricator and assembler of the
bike and responsible for a lot of the custom accessories including the
Psycho tail section and brass knuckle reservoir. “We don't build bikes
just for looks. Our custom streetfighters are designed with focus not
only on design, but performance as well. We love to ride, and our
bikes love to be ridden.” A Motocyco built streetfighter will attract
attention wherever it is. Underneath its unique appearance is a machine
that handles as good as it looks. And it will be as fun to ride on the
streets as it is on the track.
As luck would have it, Dave’s wife Sandra is a respected
fine artist and responsible for the bikes wicked paint. The central figure is a Reaper, straight from the the under
world, brandishing none other than a stealthed out Tailgunner
model TOS-103.

The Hell’s Tailgunner bike will be featured in the October
issue of Super Streetbike magazine and other European publications.
Lets all hope Jim, Dave and Sandra keep doing that voodoo they do so well
for a long time to come.

SPECIAL PROJECT BIKE:
POW-MIA Vietnam War Memorial Bike
Some custom motorcycles are built on a whim, over a short period of
time, and with very large financial resources at the builder's
disposal. Others are oftentimes the result of years of planning,
collaboration, conceptualization and working a second job. When Lewis
Colon decided to build this beautiful POW-MIA Vietnam memorial bike, he
did it using the latter. He also did it with purpose. Mr. Colon, who
spent eight years in the U.S. Navy and was involved in the 1975
evacuation of Saigon, wanted to help give closure to the folks who are
unable to attend the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Mr. Colon says
that his bike "allows many people who have been unable to cope with the
prospect of facing The Wall to begin the healing process. And
eventually, hopefully, find closure." Mr. Colon offers his time and
presence at various fundraisers, benefits and reunions across the
Southeast and Florida.

Tailgunner Exhaust is grateful to be part of such a meaningful project bike and thanks Mr. Colon for his effort.

"I want to tell you thanks for this
exhaust. The Special Ops. guys who fly on the gunships got one heck of
a kick out of it as it's about the same size as their miniguns on their
plane. It's one heck of a conversation starter and I constantly blame
that when I'm late for work. If you stop somewhere you've got to plan
on 30 mins. at least for people to ask questions, look at it, take
pics., etc. I can't say enough about it and it's great to ride. Just
went over 14,000 miles on way to photoshoot. She's definetely not a
trailer queen and I ride when I'm not on my jet or when weather is bad.
Hope you enjoy. Cheers mate, RaileR Cantrell"
